Welcome

The agricultural company is located 1 kilometre from S. Gimignano and spreads over an enchanting hilly landscape between olive groves and vineyards.  The old farmhouse, from which the area takes its name, was bought in 1964 and in 1968 the first speciality vineyards started to grow.
In 1976, the old wine cellar was replaced by a new one which was the first in the area to use modern systems for controlling the cold temperature level needed for fermenting the must (grape juice) and for refining the wines.  The main produce is Vernaccia, the first white DOC in Italy.  There are also leading red wines which pay testimony to the fact that the climate and land are ideal for producing top quality wines. The Chianti and the Paretaio are precious examples of the Sangiovese:  from its very beginning and its exceptional vintage in 1985, the Campora has been highly appreciated and is the jewel in the crown of our production.

Dear Friends, it is with immense sadness that Laina, Christopher and I inform you that Riccardo passed away during the night of the 25th of November 2010, aged 75.

We were all very shocked as his death was totally unexpected.  He was a great man and the gap his passing has left in our lives can never be filled.

In the attached link is an article by his friend Emanuele Pellucci.
